Italian sports car maker Automobili Lamborghini unveiled a special version of the Aventador coupe christened as Aventador Miura Homage. It pays tribute to the Miura, the forerunner of all V12 Lamborghini super cars, on its 50th anniversary year. The Sant'Agata Bolognese-based carmaker will produce only 50 units of the car and a large number of units have already been booked.

Created by Lamborghini's Ad Personam studio, the Aventador Miura Homage reflects the colours and specifications of original Miura models. The special edition features two-tone paint job, a Miura trademark. Customers will have the choice to opt from six classic Miura colours, including Rosso Arancio Miura, Verde Scandal and Blu Tahiti.

The special edition comes with 20/21-inch Dione wheels available in either matt gold or silver. A metallic Miura badge on the side and black Lamborghini logo on the rear, together with a limited edition plate positioned inside makes the Aventador Miura Homage a collector's item.

Lamborghini offers two interior colours in full Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather with tone-on-tone stitching and carbon fibre package as standard. The Miura 50th logo is stitched on to the upper part of the seats in gold or silver and the Lamborghini lettering embroidered on the leather dashboard.

The Aventador Miura Homage is powered by the same engine as the regular Aventador. The V12, 6.5-litre engine, produces 700hp at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 690Nm at 5,500 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 350kmph.
