If you are eagerly waiting for the year's biggest smartphone release by Apple, the days are not too far. The all-new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be launched at an event on Sept. 7, revealing all the details about the upcoming flagships, including the much-rumoured specs, price and availability.

Before that happens, there is an exciting leak about the new iPhone that is worth checking out. A popular Taiwanese actor, Jimmy Lin, who happens to be one of the most prominent Apple iPhone tipster, posted a photo of himself posing with the unreleased iPhone 7, which appears to be the bigger variant as the dual camera setup can easily be seen at the back, BGR reported.

There isn't much to share about the device in the leaked photo, as Lin's palm covers most of the handset. But a partial Apple logo just below the camera pretty much confirms that it is indeed the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus. Lin also has a good track record of leaking unreleased iPhones, as he had posted a selfie posing with iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 back in 2012.

Based on earlier rumours about the iPhone 7 Plus, besides the dual camera setup, the 2016 flagship is also said to feature Smart Connector pins at the bottom rear panel, which cannot be seen in the latest photo. The new iPhone pair is also expected to come without a 3.5mm headphone jack, relocated antenna bands and new Space Black and Deep Blue colour options.

There have been reports that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won't undergo major design changes, but bring much-needed hardware upgrades. A new 256GB variant is said to be offered in the new iPhones and the base model storage is expected to be bumped up to 32GB. The RAM size will also see an increase to 3GB and the highly-expected A10 chipset will power the handsets.

While the launch of the new iPhones is expected to take place in Cupertino, California, on Sept. 7, both the phones will go on sale starting Sept. 23.
