Many films have been made on father-son relationship and the latest Tamil movie "Thirudan Police" too belongs to the same category. While this might be a tried and tested formula that the audience is now attuned to, the comic quotient of the film has impressed moviegoers.

"Thirudan Police" is directed by SPB Charan in association with J Selvakumar. The Tamil movie features Attakathi Dinesh, Iyshwarya Rajesh, Bala Saravanan and John Vijay in the main roles, with Vijay Sethupathi in a cameo. While Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music, Siddharth has handled the camera. Praveen KL and NB Srikanth have handled the editing department.

Story: The hero played by Attakathi Dinesh has very little respect for his father (Rajesh), a police constable, who is killed by a goon. Following the death, he gets his father's job and now the son wants to seek revenge against those who are behind the murder. The story is told with a lot of humour.

People, who have seen the film, are praising the movie for its good content and have declared the film as a laugh riot. But some believe that it is just an old wine in a new bottle and there is nothing attention-grabbing in "Thirudan Police".
