The collection of Vijay's "Theri" has slowed down at the international box office. For the past few weeks, the business has been quite stagnant and is seems unlikely to reach Rs. 50 crore-mark overseas.

By the end of its sixth weekend, the total collection of "Theri" from the overseas market stood at Rs. 44.46 crore ($6.65 million), reports Tamilboxoffice1. It has been declared a blockbuster in the international arena. The movie had done brilliant business in its first weekend by raking in Rs. 30.85 crore ($4.63 million).

Break Up
At the United States box office, "Theri" has minted Rs. 4.88 crore ($729,525). It has raked in Rs. 2.66 crore ($399,079) in Canada. In total, the Tamil film has collected Rs. 7.54 crore ($1,128,604) crore from the North American region, which is a new record for a Vijay film.

"Theri" has done well in Malaysia where it has collected Rs. 9.68 crore (MYR 5,768,994). At the U.K. box office, the film has earned Rs. 3.88 crore (£403,286), which is, once again, the highest collection for a Vijay film in this region.

The movie has collected Rs. 1.94 crore (A$394,325) in Australia, Rs. 11.25 lakh (NZ$24,248) in New Zealand, Rs. 21.32 lakh ($32,022) in Norway and Rs. 2.23 crore (€292,000) in France. From the other parts of the world, it has made Rs.18.89 crore ($2.84 million).

"Theri" is an action-emotional movie, written and directed by Atlee Kumar. Samantha and Amy Jackson have played the female lead roles in the film, which has been bankrolled by Kalaippuli S Thanu.

The audience has been impressed with the family-oriented content that is backed by the electrifying screen presence of Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The Kollywood film was released on April 14 on the occasion of the Tamil New Year. The festive season helped the movie get good business in its first weekend.
