Think Music has acquired the audio rights of forthcoming biggie Vijay starrer "Theri." After much negotiation, the deal was signed a few days ago.

The news has been confirmed by journalist Sreedhar Pillai, who tweeted, "#Theri Audio March 20 via @thinkmusicindia, sister concern of @SPIcinemas, who will distribute it in Chennai City."

It was recently reported that a new label will release the audio of "Theri," but it appears like the makers have changed the decision at the last minute by selling the rights to an established company. It is believed that Think Music has paid a good amount for the audio rights.

Some of the audio rights of Vijay's films had fetched about Rs 2 crore and the latest movie is also believed to have collected the same amount. This is the third time that Think Music is being associated with a Vijay movie after "Vettaikaran" and "Sura."

The audio of "Theri" will be released Sunday, March 20. The makers are planning a grand function for the music launch. More details about the event will be revealed shortly.

GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music for "Theri," which reportedly has seven tracks in the album. T Rajender, Sonu Kakkar, actor Vijay and many others have lent their voices to the songs in the upcoming Tamil film, which marks the 50th movie of the music director as composer.

Meanwhile, advance booking for "Theri" has kick-started. With exactly one month to go, SPI Cinemas has opened the pre-booking of movie tickets. The buzz is that it is getting amazing response from the fans of Vijay.

"Theri" is an action-thriller, written and directed by Atlee Kumar. Kalaipuli S Dhanu has produced the movie, which has Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female lead roles.

The film will be released April 14 as a Tamil New Year treat from Vijay.
