The music launch function of "Theri" will be aired Sunday, April 3 on Vijay TV. The channel has confirmed on Twitter that the event will be telecast at 3 pm.

The music of "Theri" was formally launched March 20 at Sathyam Cinemas. The event was attended by Ilayathalapathy Vijay, his wife Shoba, director Atlee Kumar, Meena and her daughter Nainika, GV Prakash Kumar, Prabhu, Dhananjayan Govind, Amy Jackson, Mahendran, Kalaipuli S Thanu, KR, Perarasu, SA Chandrasekhar and others.

At the same platform the trailer of "Theri" was also unveiled. Its video on YouTube has so far got about seven million hits, with over 2 lakh likes and about 17,000 dislikes.

The Tamil movie will hit the screens April 14, and preparations for the D-day are in full swing. The theatrical rights of various regions have been acquired by leading firms. Cine Galary has acquired the theatrical rights of the U.S. and Canada regions, Ayngaran International has bagged the Europe and Sri Lankan rights, Malik Stream Corporation will distribute the film in Malaysia, Sanjay Wadhwa has procured the Singapore and UAE rights, and Celluloid Japan will release the Tamil film in Japan.

In India, the Kerala theatrical rights have been acquired by Carnival Motion Pictures, while the rights of Karnataka have gone to Goldie Films, which had earlier distributed Vijay's "Kaththi." The crucial Tamil Nadu distribution rights are yet to be sold and many have come forward for bagging the deal.

Producer Kalaipuli seems to be waiting for the right time and the best price to come his way. He is expected to sell the theatrical rights soon. Atlee Kumar has directed "Theri," in which Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson play the lead roles.
