Naughty Dog has released the details for Season Pass holders who will be able to access the first of the three planned downloadable content (DLC).

The Abandoned Territories Map Pack will be the first among the offerings for the Season Pass holders. Eric Monacelli, community strategist at Naughty Dog detailed about his studio's plans in a post on PlayStation Blog. He said that this new map will be adding four Suburbs new maps to the game that includes:

1. Suburbs map: Players have to fight 'random and dynamic dust storms' along with facing the enemies.

2. Bus Depot map: It is a dense urban environment with wild giraffes.

3. Hometown map: Players can go stealth in this map where the environment is 'dark, eerie, moonlit.'

4. Bookstore map: Adds vertical gameplay with its 'stacked, bi-level layout.'

Monacelli also wrote that his studio is working on one of its first, a story-driven single player DLC. The story, according to Naughty Dog has "strong ties into the narrative of The Last of Us." It has also confirmed that the next DLC will contain a new character whose casting process is over and it will be soon begin performance capture shoot. This single-player DLC is planned for December-January release.

Naughty Dog also confirmed that the third of the multiplayer DLC for the Season's Pass will be made available during the first half of 2014.

Season Pass holders will be treated to bonus items- the multiplayer character gets about 60 different head items from Nightmare Mask to a Pigskin Hat, which is free. The Season Pass for The Last of Us costs $19.99, with a 75 percent discount offerings.

The Abandoned Territories Map will be released on Oct 15 in North America and Oct 16 in Europe.
