Recent reports that the makers of Ajith's next film have zeroed in on "Dhruvan" as the title of their film have turned out to be mere speculations. The latest buzz is that the name of the upcoming Tamil movie, which is presently being referred to as "Thala 57," is yet to be finalised.

Sources close to the production house have revealed that the makers are considering a few names, including "Dhruvan." But they have not finalised one. Some unconfirmed reports say that the makers plan to release the first look of the Tamil film on the occasion of Diwali and there is a possibility of the name being revealed along with it.

Siruthai Siva has teamed up with Ajith for a third time in a row for this film, after "Veeram" and "Vedalm." The names of their earlier movies started with the letter 'V,' prompting people to expect the name of the latest Tamil film to begin with the same letter. However, reports now suggest that the makers might go ahead with a title starting with a different letter.

Meanwhile, Appukutty is the new entrant to the cast of "Thala 57." He has been signed up to play an important role in the movie, and his portion will be shot in the United States.

Speaking to a daily, Appukutty had said that he is yet to be briefed about his character and that he will have a clear idea about it once the unit of "Thala 57" returns to India in the first week of September.

Appukutty was also a part of the earlier movies of Ajith and Siruthai Siva, like "Veeram" and "Vedalam."

"Thala 57" is a spy-thriller, which is mainly being shot in foreign locations. Ajith essays the role of an investigating officer. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan are playing the female leads in the movie, which is produced by Sathyajyothi Films.
