Ajith fans have been hoping that the title and first look of his forthcoming movie, which is being referred to by the name "Thala 56", will be released on Ganesh Chathurthi, 17 September.

First Look of Rajinikanth's "Kabali"

However, the buzz is that it is unlikely to happen, given the makers of the film are yet to come up with a formal announcement. It is said some issues related to the title are yet to be sorted out, forcing a delay.

The news might come as a big disappointment for Ajith fans, who had been anxiously waiting for the announcement of the title and unveiling of the first look. At the least, they were expecting the first look to be released during the festival.

Vidyullekha Raman, who has acted in "Thala 56", apparently gave a hint about the delay. On her Twitter account, the actress said that she was eagerly waiting for the release of "Kabali" first look and "Maya" release during this Ganesh Chathurthi. As she has not mentioned about her own film, it is now strongly believed that neither the first look nor the title announcement is going to happen on 17 September.

"Thala 56" is a family-oriented movie, which is also loaded with commercial elements like action, comedy, emotions and punch dialogues. Siruthai Siva had earlier directed Ajith in "Veeram" and the success of the film has made fans pin their hopes on the flick.

The other highlight of "Thala 56" is Shruti Haasan, who is romancing Ajith on screen for the first time. Lakshmi Menon plays the role of Ajith's sister in the movie. Rahul Dev and Kabir Singh Duhan are seen in the role of baddies.

The upcoming film has Vetri's cinematography, Kasi Vishwanathan's editing and Anirudh Ravichander's music.
