Shruti Haasan seems to be on a role. The actress, who is busy working with Ilayathalapathy Vijay's "Puli", has now bagged yet another biggie. Well, it is none other than, Ajith's untitled movie, which is presently called "Thala 56".
There are strong rumours doing rounds that Shruti Haasan has been roped in to romance Ajith in his next movie. It is said the actress was approached some time back and both the parties have now sealed the deal.
Even though the makers have not formally announced it, her name has been doing rounds to play the female lead in "Thala 56". If the latest report turns true, it will be the biggest development in her career because she has already worked with many actors including stars like Surya.
This might clearly show that Shruti Haasan's popularity is increasing year after year in Kollywood. However, she is not the only one whose name has been linked to this movie. Earlier, it was said that Hansika Motwani would team up with Ajith. Later, reports claimed that Siruthai Siva had joined his favourite Tamanna Bhatia in this movie.
Both the rumours were denied by Siruthai Siva. There are also reports that Ajith has two roles in "Thala 56" and one more heroine will be equally sharing screen space with Shruti Haasan.
Coming back to the movie, it will kick-start in April. "Thala 56" is expected to hit the floors on 14 April for Tamil New Year. The film has GV Prakash Kumar's music. It will be the second collaboration of Ajith and Siruthai Siva after their hit film "Veeram".
We should also note that it will be hat-trick for AM Rathnam after producing "Arramabam" and "Yennai Arindhaal" with the actor.
