Popular Telugu star Allu Arjun is all set to make his debut in a Tamil film soon.

The actor who is known for his movies like "Desamuduru" and "Vedam" ("Vaanam" in Tamil) will star in a Tamil movie directed by Rajesh of "OKOK" and "SMS" fame. The film will be a bilingual and will be simultaneously shot in both Tamil and Telugu.

The director is busy with his upcoming project "All in all Azhagu Raja" starring Karthi and Kajal Agarawal. The new movie with Allu Arjun will go on floors once the Karthi starrer is completed.

Allu Arjun is currently working on different projects including "Iddarammayilatho" and "Yevadu". The actor began his film career as a child artiste. His first lead role was in "Gangotri", a movie that did moderate business at the box office.

The actor tasted success with his second release - "Arya" - in 2004. The film was received well by moviegoers, which was followed by several hit movies that raked in good business at the box office. After working in the Telugu film industry for nearly ten years, the actor is now planning to make inroads into the Tamil film industry.

Allu Arjun will be the latest to join the list of leading stars testing their waters in other film industries. For instance, megastar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja (Allu Arjun's cousin) will be making Bollywood debut opposite Priyanka chopra in the remake of Amitabh Bacchan film "Zanjeer."

Another Telugu actor who has already made his debut in Hindi is Rana Daggubati. His "Dum Maro Dum" did not do well at the box office, but he made his presence felt in the movie. The actor is now part of a multi-star cast in a Tamil film tentatively titled "Valai" alongside Ajith, Arya and Nayantara.

Top actresses including Anushka Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Hansika Motwani and Shruti Haasan began their film careers with Telugu films. Now, they are among the most sought-after actresses in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. These actresses have managed to entertain the audience by starring in big budget and big hero films.
