Minecraft: Story Mode coming to Wii U.Mojang

Telltale Games will be bringing Minecraft to Wii U console, though not the version that is popular among fans. It will be a new one, as confirmed by Telltale for Wii U platform, weaving it with a narrative coming from the makers of The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us.

Explaining the game, the FAQ section on its official website marked it as an adventure game with a Minecraft world setting. It will be a five-episode series allowing players to go to the Nether, the Farlands, the End, and beyond. The story flow will depend on the decisions players take and also what they choose to do in those action filled moments.

Players will play as Jesse who will be with his band of friends, known as The Order that includes Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect.

Further explaining the game, the website notes, "Minecraft: Story Mode is like a playable television show, based on your favourite game, where YOU are the star, and your choices decide how the story is told."

Telltale explains that it had a "fun partnership" with Mojang where they shared ideas, art and more.

Players can either choose to buy each of the five episodes individually or buy a Season Pass that will give them access to all the five. Each of the episode is approximately two-hour long.

Following Microsoft taking over Mojang, Wii U and 3DS users might not see these consoles, but Minecraft: Story Mode will perhaps be the closest they can have to Minecraft.

Minecraft: Story Mode is being released on PC, Mac, Android, iOS, Android Fire TV, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U.

Minecraft: Story Mode's first episode will be released by the end of 2015.
