Bebop and Rocksteady, the two popular fictional characters from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" cartoon series, will make their big screen appearance through Dave Green's 3D science fiction "Half Shell".

The humanoid mutants might initially appear as street gangsters in New York city and will work under the leadership of The Shredder (Brian Tee). The characters will be played by Gary Anthony Williams and Stephen "Sheamus" Farrelly.

According to the 1987 cartoon series, Bebop is a tall African American man with a purple Mohawk and Rocksteady is a short Caucasian man. They gradually transform themselves to humanoid mutant warthog and black rhinoceros to fight against the turtles.

Although the creators of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" are yet to reveal enough details about the two iconic characters, former WWE wrestler CM Punk teased that they will appear as humans in the first half of the film. "I think they end up getting mutated half way through. You didn't hear that from me, though," Cinema Blend quoted him as saying.

Since Punk was initially approached to play Rocksteady, it can be assumed that he might have read the script. Even the leaked set photos of "Half Shell" feature Williams and Farrelly dressed up as humans.

However, the moviegoers will have to wait until 3, June, 2016 to know more the two iconic characters in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shell". The science fiction film stars Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, William Fichtner as Eric Sacks and Brittany Ishibashi as Karai.
