Teasers of Kamal Haasan's "Uthama Villain" and Suriya's "Anjaan" will be released on 5 July at Vijay Television awards, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious awards in the Tamil films. Another highlight of this year's Vijay Awards is that Shahrukh Khan will be honoured as the "Entertainer of the year".

"Uthama Villain" is a Tamil comedy film directed by Ramesh Aravind. Kamal Haasan will be seen in double roles and the film tells the story of a superstar and a folk artist. The film which is co-written by Haasan and Crazy Mohan, also has Parvathy Menon in a pivotal role.

"Working with any senior actor is a learning experience, so getting to work with a thespian like Kamal Hassan was a memorable one. More so with a script that he has written. Five to six rehearsals before a take were common and only then would we go in for a take. Even then if he felt there was more we could do for the scene, there would be another take", said Parvathy to The Hindu, about her experience in working with Haasan.

The film also has Jayaram, Nassar, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Urvashi, K.Balachander, K.Viswanath, Chithra Lakshman, M.S Bhaskar and Ashwin playing important roles. The film is coproduced by N. Lingusamy under the banner of Thirupathi Brothers Pvt Ltd and Haasan under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International.

The event will also see the teaser launch of "Anjaan" directed by N.Lingusamy and the teaser will go on air at 10 pm on the same day on Youtube through Sony Music South. There are lots of buzz around the film. Suriya will also be reportedly seen in a double role for this action entertainer. "Anjaan" will turn Suriya as a singer too. He had earlier sung a jingle for a coffee brand and this is the first time he is singing a song for a film. The song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja is a breezy peppy number and is said to start with the lines "Ek Do Theen." The audio launch will take place on 17 July as a grand event in Chennai.

"Anjaan" is an action thriller gangster film which will see Suriya in a double role. The film's heroine is Samantha Ruth Prabhu. It also has Vidyut Jamwal, Manoj Bajpai, Soori, Rajpal Yadav, Dalip Tahil, Murali Shrama, Sathyan, Asif Basra, Vidhyullekha Raman, Uma Riyaz Khan and Jangiri Madhumitha in pivotal roles. Santhosh Sivan has done the cinematography and the film is produced by Thirrupathi Brothers and UTV Motion Pictures."Anjaan" is set to be released on 15 August.
