A new prototype of Tata's Nano Twist F-Tronic Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) has been spied testing in India again, indicating the arrival of the vehicle soon.

Thanks to the folks at GaadiWaadi for the latest spy shots of the car. Tata first showed us the Nano Twist Active concept at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 and since then we have seen the car through spy images and leaked reports on the web numerous times. Now it appears like Tata is ready to present its next Nano avatars to its fans in the country.

From what we heard last, Nano Twist AMT F-Tronic is likely to reach our market officially in early 2014, while the Nano Twist Active is likely to see the launch by the end of this year.

Tata Nano, the cheapest car is now getting ready to enthral Indian auto lovers in its new avatars. From what we heard so far, the new model of Nano will have openable boot and the car is also likely to see changes at the front and rear end. Talking of the engine line-up of the upcoming Nano, the car is expected to get new three-cylinder petrol engine that can generate a power of 67ps.

Tata Nano Active is expected to feature a new front fascia and we have also seen the spy shots of Black body-coloured Nano, which is first in the Nano array. Nano Twist Active is likely to get a price tag in the range of ₹2.38 to ₹2.45 lakh, while Twist AMT F-Tronic is expected to fall in the range of ₹2.50 lakh to ₹2.65 lakh.

Currently, Tata retails Tata Nano STD, Tata Nano CX, Tata Nano LX, Tata Nano CNG CX and Tata Nano CNG LX variants in India and the petrol variant of the car is powered by a 0.6-litre MPFI engine, which churns out a power of 37.4bhp and a peak torque of 51nm.
