Americans may get to drive the $3000 budget car Tata Nano, at a revised price by 2015, if all goes well with the plans laid out by the automotive giant, Tata Motors.

Tata Motors Nano Twist Active has returned in fresh batch spy shots ahead of its expected launch in India this year.

Tata Nano Active has been doing the rounds on the web for quite some time now. Now the folks at Autocolumn have managed to get a new batch spy shots of Nano Active, revealing more details of the car.

From the images, the new avatar of Nano seems to have adopted a fresh styling for its front bumper and smoked headlamps.

The rear end is also believed to have undergone changes not just the openable boot lid, but also a reworked bumper with new style. The latest images also show the interiors of the new Nano Twist Active.

First showcased at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 along with Nano Twist AMT F-Tronic and Nano Twist Active has been getting a lot of attention not just because of the exterior changes, but also because of the presence of automated manual transmission (AMT).

Under the hood, the new avatar of Nano is expected to get new three-cylinder petrol engine that can generate a power of 67ps. There have also been rumours that a new 624cc petrol engine, which can churn out a power of 37.4 hp @5,500rpm and a peak torque of 51Nm at 4,000rpm could also make into the new Nano.

Expected to fall in the range of ₹2.38 to ₹2.45 lakh, Tata Nano Active Twist is also likely to debut with new colours including a Black paintjob, which is first in the Nano array.

Currently, Tata retails Nano STD, Nano CX, Nano LX, Nano CNG CX and Nano CNG LX variants in the country.
