It is no secret that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were once in a serious relationship. Although the duo broke up long ago, Deepika addressing Ranbir as "bro" definitely sounds strange.

Ranbir and Deepika will be seen romancing each other in "Tamasha", the trailer of which was released recently. The people present at the trailer launch event witnessed a rather funny moment when Deepika addressed Ranbir as "bro".

During the event, Ranbir was asked to comment on the recent controversial proposal that sought to make deleting messages (less that 90 days old) on WhatsApp and social networking sites illegal. And, the government would would have direct access to the messages.

"In that case, refrain totally from sending objectionable messages. Then my advice to people having girlfriends and boyfriends would be to avoid sending flirtatious messages to strangers," The Times of India quoted Ranbir as saying.

Meanwhile, Deepika was apparently very impressed by her former boyfriend's reply and said, "What an answer bro," with a pat on his shoulder. The report stated that the room was filled with laughter and whispers when they heard the term "bro".

Ranbir and Deepika were last seen together in "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani", which was a big hit and now, the two stars are ready to entertain the fans with their chemistry in "Tamasha".

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, "Tamasha" is based on the story of two people who meet in Corsica and then set off on a fun-filled journey, exploring the beautiful island. The film is slated to be released on 27 November.
