After months of speculations and leaks, Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki has finally launched Gixxer 150 motorbike in India on Tuesday.
Gixxer 150, a stylish offering of Suzuki, which claimed to have borrowed design cues from GSX-R1000 Series have been priced at ₹72,199 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The bikes is positioned above GS150R and comes with 154.9 cc four-stroke single cylinder air cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 14.8 PS @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14 Nm @ 6,000 rpm under the hood. The engine comes equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology and five speed manual transmission.
In terms of the dimension, the new 150cc segment entrant measures 2,050 mm in length, 785 mm in width and 1,030 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,330 mm.
Available in five body colours - Metallic Oort Grey, Candy Antares Red, Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue and Pearl Mirage White, the new Suzuki Gixxer comes with the features like fully digital instrument console, dual exhausts, telescopic forks at the front and single-shock suspension with swing-arm at the rear. The bike comes fitted with a fuel tank capacity of 12 litre.
In India, the Gixxer 150 will rival Yamaha FZ-S, Hero Xtreme, Apache RTR and Honda CB Trigger. The bike is available for bookings in the country with an advance payment of ₹5,000.
Recently, Suzuki introduced a new model of its Access 125 in India with a price tag of ₹53,223 (on-road Delhi). The new scooter gets the power from the same 124 cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 8.58hp @7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.8 Nm @5,000 rpm and get additional features like new alloy grab rail, tubeless tyres, central locking system with safety shutter and 3D signature logo.
