Tamil actor Surya is all set to host the popular Indian TV reality mega quiz show "Kaun Banega Crorepati-Season 5" (KBC) in Tamil.
The Tamil version of KBC, titled "Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi" (You can win a crore) will be officially aired on Vijay TV.
According to sources, Surya is excited with the recent development and he is believed to be working hard in a studio in Vadapalani to re-create the magic of the reality mega quiz game show.
The actor, who has a bulk of Tamil film projects in hand, will shoot for KBC six days a month in the mornings so that his schedule remains undisturbed.
Surya, who was last seen in director A.R. Murugadoss's science fiction film "7aum Arivu" is currently working on a Tamil action film directed by K.V. Anand called "Maatraan."
Shooting for the Tamil KBC will begin in January 2012. It is slated to go on air from the third week of February 2012. Earlier, Vijay TV had aired two seasons of "KBC" dubbed in Tamil.
After the success of KBC on Sony TV, the quiz game show is already being made and aired in other Indian languages like Bhojpuri and Bengali.
Actor Shatrughan Sinha and cricketer Sourav Ganguly are the hosts of the Bhojpuri and Bengali version of KBC, respectively.
KBC Season 5, aired on Sony Entertainment TV, is hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
