Here is good news for all Suriya fans. His much-hyped "Singam 3" is finally ready to take off.

If rumours are to be believed, the makers have decided to launch "Singam 3" on 7 January. The movie is likely to have its muhurat in Vizag where the first schedule of shooting will begin. Originally, the movie was supposed to take off by the end of November.

But the shooting was postponed following unprecedented rain and flooding in Chennai. Later, the makers planned to start filming in Kolkata, but even that was cancelled due to bad weather. Also, Suriya was stuck in Indonesia, leading to the cancellation of the schedule.

As per the buzz, the story of "Singam 3" will be set in Australia and Suriya's character, named Durai Singham, will eliminate baddies in the land of kangaroos. Shruthi Haasan is playing the important role of a CBI officer in the movie.

The latest movie is the third instalment in the "Singam" franchise. The first two were blockbusters, and people have high expectations from the makers this time.

"Singam 3", which once again has Anushka Shetty as the female lead, is directed by Hari. The pacy screenplay backed by action elements and punchlines are expected to be the chief attractions of the flicks.

Meanwhile, Suriya has completed his forthcoming film "24", directed by Vikram Kumar. It is a science-fiction film with Samantha and Nithya Menen as the female leads.
