There were rumours that Suriya and Mahesh Babu were in the race to bag Sundar C's mega-budget film. In the last few days, some unconfirmed reports claimed that the "Ghajini" actor was the front runner to bag the flick.

Now, director Sundar C's wife and actress Khushbu Sundar has claimed that nothing is confirmed yet and requested fans to wait for the official confirmation. "Would appreciate if ppl n media could stop speculating about the starcast of #Sundar.C's next mammoth film..so far no star is confirmed. [sic]" she posted.

Rajsekar Pandian, one of the heads of Suriya's production house 2D Entertainment, too clarified on Twitter and wrote, "Pls do'nt believe rumours unless it is officially announced long process involved before signing a film, Pls wait for official announcement! [sic]"

Sundar C is getting ready to make the biggest movie of his career and Sri Thenandal Films is bankrolling the project, which will be the production house's 100th film. A report on Deccan Chronicle says that the budget of the film is Rs. 250 crore, much higher than SS Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali."

The buzz was that Sundar C was considering Suriya and Mahesh Babu for the lead role in the film, which will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu languages. Now, it is reported that the Tollywood star is not part of the project .

However, the talks are on between Suriya and the makers of the film and the actor is yet to sign the dotted line. The makers are expected to open up on the film in the coming days.

Sundar C is mainly known for his comedy-oriented subjects. It will be a big challenge for him to make a film with such a huge budget.
