Is Suriya-Selvaraghavan team ready for a Godfather-like film?

Selvaraghavan has made a stunning announcement on Twitter. The filmmaker has revealed that he is going to team up with none other than Suriya.

Announcing the news, Selvaraghavan tweeted, "Super excited to be working with @Suriya_offl , one of the finest actors in india & @DreamWarriorpic ,a young and energetic team. #Suriya36. [sic]" Responding to his post, the actor tweeted, "Happy join hands with.....!!@selvaraghavan @DreamWarriorpic @prabhu_sr @srprakashbabu #Suriya36. [sic]"

It is quite a strange combination, feel fans. While Suriya is known for his commercial entertainers, Selvaraghavan has created a niche for himself with his dark and intriguing films. Their latest film will apparently be an action entertainer on the lines of the Hollywood movie, Godfather.

The director's interaction with his fans on Twitter gives an indication. When a fan asked him what kind of a role best suits Suriya, he tweeted, "For surya god father series is perfect..surya is a fantastic actor and he will rock in al pacino's role. [sic]"

Some reports suggest that Yuvan Shankar Raja would score the music for the upcoming Tamil film. 

Suriya's Thaana Serndha Kootam begins
Meanwhile, Suriya, who has completed the shooting of S3, has started his next film, Thaana Serndha Kootam, which is written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. The KE Gnanavel Raja-produced film stars Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role.

"Wit my school bag was watchin #KaakaKaaka & today I Said #Action to @Suriya_offl sir. Never knew,this dream would come true ! #GodisGreat. [sic]" the director tweeted after the completion of the first day of shooting.
