The Winchester brothers had an unhappy reunion in the second episode of season 10 of "Supernatural," with Sam hell-bent on curing demon Dean, and his brother promising dire consequences if Sam doesn't let him free.

And in the next episode, the repercussions of Dean's demonic antics will hit Crowley, who was knocked around by Dean in front of the King of Hell's underlings. This will force Crowley to seek out an unlikely ally in "Soul Survivor."

As per the official synopsis of the episode, "Sam continues his efforts to save Dean (Jensen Ackles) from the Mark of Cain. Crowley realizes Dean's demonic antics are starting to cause problems for him in Hell so he searches out an unlikely ally – Castiel."

Castiel is slowly losing his Grace, and although Hannah tried to make a deal with Metatron, promising his freedom if Castiel is saved. However, Castiel shows up and declines the offer, resulting Metatron to vow that he will escape one day and kill everyone.

"As long as Metatron is not dead, you can always assume he'll factor in somehow," executive producer Jeremy Carver teased, according to TVGuide.

In a recent interview, Curtis Armstrong, who plays Metatron, opened up about his relationship with Castiel and why the Scribe of God would do anything to have Castiel with him.

"I think he has a bit of a crush on Castiel in a way," Armstrong told Buddy TV. "I think he would love to have Castiel with him - not really with him because I think he also thinks Castiel is a little dangerous to have near him, but he wishes he would pay him the kind of respect he feels he's owed by everyone, and the fact that Castiel will never do that is probably a bit annoying to him. I think he respects him. I think that's why he cares enough, is that he really does respect him."

However, the same cannot be said of the Winchesters, who Metatron sees as a hurdle.

"I don't think he respects the Winchesters at all," Armstrong continued. "They're just obstacles to be overcome. Castiel's a little different because he also knows Castiel has that magnetism, that charisma, that can draw an army to him. That's why he thinks he's dangerous. The Winchesters don't have that. They have whatever they have within their relationship and whatever powers they have at any given time, but Castiel's really dangerous," he concluded.

"Supernatural" airs on The CW every Tuesday.
