Bollywood actress and adult star Sunny Leone has become the most searched Bollywood celebrity, beating other actresses like Katrina Kaif and Priyanaka Chopra to the title.
Leone, who shifted to India to continue acting in the Indian film industry, was searched online 3.5 crore times in December 2012.
The second most searched celebrity was Katrina Kaif who was searched 1.6 crore times followed by Aishwarya with a 1.1 crore score.
The only male celebrity to make it to the top five list was Salman Khan thanks to his back-to-back hits like "Bodyguard", "Dabanng", "Ek tha Tiger" and "Dabanng 2". He was ranked fourth with a search count of one crore.
Reports said that Leone had consistently found place in almost all popular polls that were conducted last year. This time she was crowned with the title of most searched Bollywood celebrity which many A-list actresses had earlier claimed.
According to cumulative data collected by Google, YouTube and the The Times of India website, Leone was searched 3.5 crore times in December 2012.
Actresses like Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan were searched 87 lakh and 61 lakh times, respectively.
In male category Salman Khan was followed by Amir Khan (6th) and Akshay Kumar (7th) in the list.
Shahruhk Khan, who was ranked 14th in the list, was searched only 48 lakh times.
