Dancing to one of the iconic Bollywood numbers to pefection in the scorching Rajasthan heat is not an easy task. But, adult film star-turned-actress Sunny Leone didn't give up until the crew finished filming the sequence.

In her upcoming release - "Ek Paheli Leela" - the Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer "Dholi Taro" song ("Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam") has been reworked on and given a folk touch. Reportedly, a huge set with 500 odd dancers were used.

As the temperature touched the 48 degrees Celsius mark, the star's make-up started to come off in the heat. But since the original version featured Aishwarya, who sizzled in the number charming her fans with effortless dance moves, the crew couldn't take the risk of being casual.

"But we refused to compromise. Dholi taro is an iconic song, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali song, so not even a strand of hair could be out of place. Sunny's personal stylist worked on her wardrobe for over a month before the shoot," Mumbai Mirror quoted choreographer Ahmed Khan as saying.

Trained by ace dance master Saroj Khan, Sunny was given lessons prior to the filming of "Dholi Taro". However, Ahmed admits, that since mostly folk dance steps have been incorporated in the sequence, it wasn't that hard for the actress.

Written and directed by Bobby Khan, "Leela" will see Sunny play the role of a princess who falls in love with a common man. It is being reported that the film will feature as many as nine songs. Word has it that the gorgeous actress will give a semi-classical performance on "Saiyaan superstar" song in the film.

In other news, Sunny confirmed via Twitter that the official trailer of the film will be out on 6 February.
