Soon after Ajit Pawar's death, Mamata had urged Supreme Court to initiate probe into his death citing foul play. Mamata Banerjee has been facing a lot of heat and backlash for her statement on Ajit Pawar's death. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, passed away in a tragic airplane crash as he was headed to Baramati.
The West Bengal Chief Minister hinted at a foul play and asked for a probe by the SC. Kangana Ranaut was exiting the Parliament when she was asked to comment on the CM's statement.

Kangana slams
"Hum sab bahut shokh mein hain ke itna bada hadsa subha subha hua hai. Aaj Parliament mein sab yeh hi baat kar rahe hain... Sab log helicopter se safar karte hain, hum log bhi iss tarahn se travel karte hain," Kangana told media. (We are all in grief that such a tragedy has happened in the morning. Everyone was discussing the same in the Parliament. Everyone travels by helicopter and we all travel the same way)

Kangana further criticised Mamta Banerjee for her remarks and said, "Toh iss samay par itni neech baatein karna... unko thoda sanyam apnana chahiye." (To make such low remarks at this time, she should show some restraint)
What had Mamata said
In a press conference, Banerjee said that she had heard from someone that the NCP leader was planning on quitting BJP. She expressed surprise at how soon he passed away after the news/rumours surfaced. Mamata said that even politicians are not safe in the country, hinting at a controversy behind his death.
"We have trust only in the Supreme Court and no other agency. All (central) agencies have been completely compromised," she had said.
Ajit Pawar passed away as soon as the plane crashed. He was accompanied by four more people, none of whom survived.
