Horror comedy Stree had a tremendous weekend at the box office with its collection witnessing a hike, every passing day. However, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se has turned out to be a complete washout at the commercial circuits.

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor among others, Stree started its journey with a business of Rs 6.82 crore on its opening day. With positive reviews from most critics, the movie performed extremely well on the second day. It had collected Rs 10.87 crore on Saturday.

Stree witnessed a further jump in its earning on Day 3. The movie collected Rs 13.57 crore on Sunday, taking its 3 day total collection over Rs 30 crore at the domestic market.

"All estimations and calculations go for a toss... #Stree wreaks havoc at ticket counters... Multiplexes, single screens, metros, mass circuits - this one has worked across the board... Fri 6.82 cr, Sat 10.87 cr, Sun 13.57 cr. Total: ₹ 31.26 cr. India biz [sic," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

On the other side, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se had a poor start with a collection of just around Rs 1.82 crore on first day, and its business reportedly almost died by the end of the weekend.

Showing no signs of improvement, the comedy drama had collected Rs 1.80 crore on its second day. With very few positive response from critics and audience, Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se failed to do any better on Sunday as well. The film collected around Rs 1.70 crore on day 3, and turned out to be a big flop.

With such a dismal performance over the weekend, the Deols starrer is completely out of the box office race now. However, considering the kind of response that Stree has been getting, the film is likely to keep up the momentum even on the weekdays.
