The popular television show 'Rimjhim - Choti Umar Bada Safar' has rubbed the audience the wrong way. The show that features a romantic relationship between a teenage female and her adult husband has landed in a soup. In a recent episode of the show, an intimate scene between the lead pair rubbed netizens the wrong way. Audience took to Reddit to call for a ban on the show.
The scene showed Yashika Sharma, 16 years of age in real life, in a cozy situation with Himanshu Awasthy, who is 24. The show that comes on Dangal TV recently had an episode where the character of Sameer is seen drenched as he unbuttons his shirt behind Rimjhim, played by Yashika. He then brings her close to himself as her blouse gets undone and then puts his shirt over her.

In another scene, the two are seen on the bed with the actress showing her bare back. The scene has sparked outrage among the audience and social media users for showing a teenager in such situations.

"Don't these people get age-appropriate actresses anymore? There aren't any LEGAL females in the country who can act in three serials? Why are they getting minor girls for these romantic lead roles, its bloody EWWWW man wtf. Also, since when do 15-year-olds look 25??" another comment read.
"ITV has touched its lowest low, now literally exploiting actual minor girls and in the shows also promoting child marriage. I don't understand how r we taking all this so lightly," a social media user commented.
So far neither the lead pair nor the makers have reacted to the backlash on social media.
