Steve Jones confirmed his exit from the show on Twitter. "I won't be hosting next seasons X Factor which is a shame but I can't complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show," he tweeted.

Simon Cowell has confirmed that Jones, Paula and Nicole will not be returning for the next season of "The X-Factor".

He thanked them for everything and is sure that they will be successful in their future endeavors. He added that they had nice time making the show and found some great talents and stars. He thanked his close friend Paula in a special way and expressed his desire to wprk with her in his future projects.

It looked like the TV reality show king was disappointed with the way "The X-Factor" ended in the last season. He was expecting at least 20 million viewers a week but ended up with approximately 12.5 million viewers a week, which is way behind "American Idol" and NBC's "The Voice".
