It wasn't just Nupur Sanon who was under the spotlight during her wedding reception. Stebin Ben's sister and Nupur's sister-in-law has also grabbed the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Steby Ben has been at the receiving end of a lot of backlash and trolling as netizens think she copied Nupur's reception outfit to outshine her.

How Steby reacted

As soon as the wedding reception videos and pictures made its way to social media, netizens were quick to slam Steby. Some said that Steby was 'jealous', some called it her trying to 'one up' Nupur. Amid all the backlash, Steby has finally reacted. Steby said that she has seen a lot of trolling because her brother is in the industry but it was never directed at her.

Steby went on to add that the trolling bothered her earlier but now she feels it is all a waste of time. "Initially, I was offended, 'Oh my god! What are these people writing! My friends haven been sending the posts to me. But now, after 3-4 days, I am like buzz off! Let's just completely avoid it and not take it seriously. What's happening on the internet is absolutely bu**sh*t," she told HT.

Family laughed it off

Talking about whether she was actually twinning, Steby said that she her outfit had a different colour, pattern, fabric and style from what Nupur wore. She said that her outfit was ready months before the wedding, while Nupur was working with Manish Malhotra until the last moment for the wedding gown.

Steby also added, "At the reception, Nupur's mom and Nupur both gave such generous compliments to me. They both said that of all my outfits, I looked the best in this gown. It was the sixth wedding function." She also said that the whole family discussed the trolling, "Yes, it's funny. We had no idea this could happen. We discussed it and laughed it off."
