Star Wars fans are desperate to know any possible updates about Episode VIII: The Last Jedi and cast member Daisy Ridley has dropped major hint about Luke Skywalker and Rey.
This is not the first time the 25-year-old actress has been opening up about Mark Hamill's character in the upcoming science-fiction film. During the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, she teased about the changes that can be expected in the characteristics of the Jedi Master.
Once again, The Force Awakens star has shared some new details about Skywalker with the franchise fans. According to her, the viewers should be really prepared to watch The Last Jedi, as the creator is planning some unexpected twists for the Jedi Master.
"I think what Luke said in the trailer is a sign of expectation that people already have. Perhaps he is being challenged or going in a different direction," Ridley said while interacting with the representative of Steele Wars, a podcast by fansite Making Star Wars.
Many of the franchise fans were speculating about Luke Skywalker taking a different journey in Star Wars 8 after hearing him telling Rey in the teaser trailer that it's time for Jedi to end. Some of them also claimed that he might turn to the dark side.
Even Hamill hinted about the changes that can be expected for his character in The Last Jedi. "It was as shocking to me to read what Rian [Johnson] had written as I'm sure it will be for the audience," he said.
Ridley's statement about the Jedi Master came at a time when rumours were doing the rounds about a team up between Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren. So, it remains to be seen what could be his decision regarding the future of Jedi in Star Wars 8.
