Director Koratala Siva's "Srimanthudu" starring Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan in the lead, has got a U/A certificate from the Censor Board. The makers are now gearing up for a grand release on 7 August.

It was reported earlier that the makers of "Srimanthudu" had planned to screen the movie before the Censor Board on 3 August. But they scrapped their plans at the last moment due to a technical glitch in the first copy. They rescheduled the screening for the Board officials on 4 August, who reportedly watched "Srimanthudu" at a special screening held at 9.00 AM today (4 August), after which the U/A certificate was given unconditionally. 

The bosses of Mythri Movie Makers, who have produced "Srimanthudu" in collaboration with G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, have confirmed the news about receiving the certificate.

On the official Twitter handle of the production house, they tweeted: "#Srimanthudu censor done! U/A it is! All set for a Grand Release on August 7th!"

Made with a budget of about Rs 50 crore, "Srimanthudu" is touted to be a family entertainer with all the commercial ingredients  - action, romance and comedy. Besides direction, Koratala Siva has also written the script for the movie. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music, while R Madhi has handled the camera work. 

Mahesh Babu is seen as hero Harsha, while Shruti Haasan appears as his love interest - Charuseela in the movie.

Jagapati Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Sukanya, Brahmanandam, Sivaji Raja, Aamani, Angana Roy, Sanam Shetty, Tejaswi Madivada, Sampath Raj and Mukesh Rishi are in supporting cast. Rahul Ravindran and Poorna have made cameo appearances in the film.
