Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu", which released in theatres around the world on 7 August, has continued to keep cash registers ringing at box offices worldwide in its fourth week also.

In its fourth week, "Srimanthudu" did not have any big competitor, but was withdrawn from some cinema halls to make way for new Telugu releases "Dolar ki Maro Vaipu", "Best Actors", "Taruvatha Katha", "BA Pass" (Dub) and "Vikramarkudi LS". Its business was affected by big-ticket Bollywood movie "Phantom" in some regions.

"Srimanthudu" grossed about Rs 18 crore at the worldwide box office in its third week. When compared to its third weekend business, the Koratala Siva-directed film witnessed a 50% dip in its collection in its fourth weekend. This decline was to due to the decreased number of theatres.

The Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan starrer saw good occupancy at theatres, running to packed houses in few centres. "Srimanthudu" is estimated to have grossed Rs 6 crore at the worldwide box office in its fourth weekend. Its 24-day global gross collection stands at Rs 162 crore.

Except "Baahubali", "Srimanthudu" has smashed the lifetime collection records of all Telugu blockbusters, including "Attarintiki Daredi" and "Magadheera". It has become the second all-time highest Tollywood grosser after "Baahubali - the Beginning". It has also become the fourth all-time highest grossing South film after "Baahubali", "Enthiran" and "I".

Made on a budget of around Rs 45 crore, "Srimanthudu" fetched Rs 55 crore from the sale of its distribution rights. The film has been successful in returning the investments with a huge amount of profit to its distributors. The film is estimated to have earned more than Rs 80 crore for them.

"Srimanthudu" is a family drama film with a high emotional quotient. Koratala Siva's engrossing story, Mahesh Babu's sterling performance, rich production values are the biggest assets that have helped the movie get positive response from viewers and create a magic at the box office.
