The famous pair of Sreenivasan and Sangita is making a comeback in the upcoming film, "Nagaravaaridhy Naduvil Njan".

The film will start rolling on 22 August. It is directed by Shibu Balan, who has been the assistant director of Sathyan Anthikkad and later became popular with his television serials. The dialogues and the script are written by Sreenivasan himself.

"Nagaravaaridhy Naduvil Njan" will be a satire, focusing on pollution in cities and will be a comic take on problems caused by pollution in political and comic scenario. The return of Sreenivasan – Sangita combination have made news in the Malayalam film circles, as their last film together "Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala" was an unparalleled success.

The film had won National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues, Kerala State Film Award for Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value, Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Feature film in Malayalam.

"Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala" is famous for its dialogues that are mixed with satire and comedy. The film was also written and directed by Sreenivasan and had a huge star cast of Thilakan, Innocent, Nedumudi Venu, Sudheesh and Siddique.

Sreenivasan has acted in over 200 films, scripted more than 50 films and has won several awards for his films.

Meanwhile, Sangita is a popular actress in Malayalam and Tamil films. She began her acting career as a child artiste in Malayalam film "Snehikkan Oru Pennu", and then went on to do films in many South Indian films especially during 90's. The actress took a break from the films when she married cinematographer Saravanan.

The cinematography of "Nagaravaaridhy Naduvil Njan" is done by Pappu and the music is composed by Govind Menon of "Thaikkudam Bridge" band. The film will be shot in Thrissur and is produced by E4 Entertainments.
