Special Oppo F1s Diwali gold edition launched ahead of festive season in India

Popular Chinese smartphone-maker launched a special edition Oppo F1s in India on October 6.

The new limited edition Oppo F1s houses same internal hardware as seen in the original model, which was launched in August. Key difference between the two variants is that the former features the special Diwali-themed lamp with flame engraved on the gold-hued back with signatures of Bollywood icons --Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor, on the rear-side, whereas the latter comes with plain colour having just the company's brand "Oppo" engraving.

The company also guarantees that the signature of the celebrities will not fade away with time. It costs Rs. 17,990, same as the regular model and it can be pre-ordered from October 8 onwards at all OPPO exclusive stores. Later, the OPPO F1s Diwali limited edition model will be made available both online (via Snapdeal) and also OPPO exclusive brick-and-mortar stores across India from October 14.

Notable aspect of Oppo F1s series is its camera hardware. It boasts high-quality 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and screen flash feature. On the back, it houses equally impressive 13MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture with LED flash.

Other stipulated features include 5.5-inch HD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, MediaTek octa-core processor, fingerprint sensor on the rear and a 3,075mAh battery.

"Diwali is one of the most important festivals in the country. At this time, we not only want to thank young users with this customized phone but also treat this as step forward of localization in India," Will Wang, Brand Director of OPPO Mobiles India, said in a statement.
