On the occasion of cricket legend Sourav Ganguly's birthday, the makers of Dada unveiled the film's first look, featuring Rajkummar Rao as one of India's most iconic cricket captains.
The poster recreates Ganguly's unforgettable celebration at Lord's after India's dramatic victory over England in the 2002 NatWest Series final, where he waved his jersey from the balcony. The moment remains one of the defining images of Indian cricket and symbolises the fearless approach Ganguly brought to the national team.
The first look comes shortly after audiences saw Rajkummar portray lawyer Ujjwal Nikam in Prahaar, making it two vastly different real-life characters introduced within a short span. While Prahaar focuses on the lawyer known for handling some of India's most high-profile cases, Dada traces the journey of the former Indian captain who reshaped the country's cricketing mindset.
Rajkummar has built a strong reputation for portraying real-life personalities with films such as Shahid, Bose: Dead/Aliveand Srikanth. With Dada, the actor adds another biographical role to his filmography, continuing his streak of bringing influential figures to the big screen.
Known for his ability to adapt to a wide range of characters, Rajkummar once again takes on a role that demands both physical and emotional transformation. With Prahaar and Dada generating anticipation, the actor continues to strengthen his reputation as one of Bollywood's most versatile performers.

Dada is scheduled to be released in theatres on May 14, 2027.
