Sony's flagship phablet Xperia Z Ultra which was globally unveiled last month hit the Indian market today.
Popular online retailer Saholic has begun selling the Xperia Z Ultra for ₹44,990.
The mammoth 6.4-inch phablet which is claimed to be the world's slimmest and largest full HD smartphone boasts of a Triluminos TFT LCD scratch-resistant screen with BRAVIA Engine 2 display technology and comes with a shatter-proof sheet on top of it.
The feature-rich Xperia Z Ultra smartphone also boasts of dust-proof and water-resistant IP55/IP58 certifications which enables the user to record video for up to five feet under water for close to 30 minutes.
Under the hood, the phablet runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor with Adreno 330 graphic engine. It houses 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
Camera wise, Xperia Z Ultra flaunts an 8.0-megapixel camera with Exmor RS image sensor, 16X digital zoom. On the front side, it packs a 2.0-megapixel camera which is also capable of recording full HD video.
