The India handset market, which is touted to be one of the world's fastest growing markets, houses more than 137 local and MNC smartphone manufactures vying for the formidable share in the lucrative low-cost device business.

Local players like Micromax, Karbonn Mobiles and others have an array of cheap Android smartphones in their portfolio. Consumers who are looking to purchase a mid-segment MNC branded Android Jelly Bean smartphone can take a look at the recently released Sony Xperia L and LG Optimus L7-2. It also houses a VGA secondary camera on the front.
