Sony Xperia Z5 Premium made its debut with three colour options -- chrome, black and gold -- at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) event in September last year. Now, the company has unveiled a new pink variant.
"The colour was first created for Xperia Z5 Pink and the hue also lent itself well to the finish of the Z5 Premium. As with other Z5 Premium devices we wanted to give an expression of light, so we adapted the colour to the Z5 Premium's materials, the result is a deeper, rich tone due to its glossy finish – the perfect complement to its Premium name tag. The colour is also one of the trend colours for 2015AW-2016SS, so Xperia customers can tailor their look and colour co-ordinate their phone and outfits with the latest fashion trends." Murai-san, designer, said in a statement.
For the uninitiated, Xperia Z5 Premium is the world's first smartphone to boast 4K resolution display. It features a 5.5-inch screen with a staggering pixel density of 806 ppi (pixels per inch), thus guaranteeing rich video viewing experience compared to other smartphones in the market.
Under-the-hood, it comes packed with a Snapdragon 810 processor, backed by 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage and a high-capacity 3,430mAh battery to power the high-resolution display. The company claims that the phone can run for close to two days with single full-charge. It also boasts QuickCharge v2.0 technology as well.
The new Xperia Z5 Premium Pink colour variant will hit stores in select markets in May, Sony said.
As of now, there is no official word when the new the model will be released in India.
