Popular South Korean actor Song Seung Hun will reportedly share screen space with legendary actress Lee Young-ae in upcoming Korean television drama "Saimdang, the Herstory".

The project will revolve around the life of a university lecturer. She finds a mysterious portrait of the historical figure Shin Saimdang along with her diary and begins investigating the lady's life.

While Young-ae portrays both Saimdang and the lecturer, Seung Hun will play the role of her partner Lee Gyeom. The male character reportedly belongs to a strict family and has a free spirit, but his life gradually changes after meeting the female lead character, according to AllKpop.

The broadcasting rights of "Saimdang, the Herstory" has been acquired by popular media group Turner International. "This deal demonstrates Turner's continued commitment to investing in the very best Asian content out there," Variety quoted Ricky Ow, President of Turner Asia Pacific.

The Korean television drama is scheduled to premiere in six East Asian countries by 2016. "Lee Young-ae is one of the most recognisable characters in Korean drama and there's no doubting that 'Saimdang' will be a huge hit in 2016," opined the president.
