The box office collection of Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer "Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) dropped on its sixth day in India.

Akshay-Amy starrer "Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) minted Rs 5.30 crore, which is a 20% drop from its fifth day box office collection. The six-day box office collection of "Singh Is Bliing" totals to Rs 73.4 crore.

"Singh Is Bliing" has shattered the first week box office collection record of Akshay's previous film "Brothers". Akshay-Sidharth Malhotra starrer "Brothers" raked in Rs 72.60 crore in its first week from theatres in India.

Simultaneously, Akshay's film also shattered the lifetime box office collection records of Ajay Devgn's "Drishyam" (Rs 67.13 crore), Saif Ali Khan's "Phantom" (Rs 54.19 crore) and Varun Dhawan's "Badlapur" (Rs 50.07 crore).

"Singh Is Bliing" will now emerge as the second highest first week grosser of 2015, after "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

Meanwhile, talking to Bombay Times, Akshay revealed why "Singh Is Bliing" worked at the box office.

"It was made in record time and budget and this time around Prabhu had a different bent of mind. Usually Prabhu's movies lean 80% towards the men and 20% towards women. In this film, he has given men and women a 50:50 deal. The characters played by Amy Jackson and Lara Dutta have equal footage as my own character, Raftar Singh," he told the daily.

Directed by Prabhudeva, the film features an ensemble cast, including Akshay, Amy, Kay Kay Menon, Lara Datta, Pradeep Rawat, Anil Mange, Rati Agnihotri, Yograj Singh and Kunal Kapoor among others.
