Hansika Motwani to Join Simbu and Nayantara in Idhu Namma Aalu

The Silambarasan and Nayanthara-starrer, "Idhu Namma Aalu," will hit the screens on May 20. The makers have released a teaser of the movie, in which the date has been announced.

Director Pandiraj released the teaser on Sunday and tweeted, "#INA Wait is over..!! It's sathyama Official now.. #Mind blowing #Mind blowing. [sic]" The Tamil movie has been repeatedly delayed for one or the other reason. "Idhu Namma Aalu" was originally planned to be released in March 2016.

"Idhu Namma Aalu" is a romantic-comedy, which stars Simbu and Nayanthara, former lovers in real life, in the lead roles. Their surprising decision to team up after a gap of 10 years had generated a lot of buzz around the movie.

It is said that initially, the two were hesitant to work together and were not keen to sign on the dotted lines even though they liked the script of "Idhu Namma Aalu." But director Pandiraj convinced them to accept the project by citing the example of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who came together for a project after ending their relationship.

The other attraction that "Idhu Namma Aalu" holds for fans is Simbu's younger brother Kuralarasan, who is making his debut as a music director. He has composed three hit songs ("Kaane Un Kaadhal," "King Kong" and "Oru Thalai Raagam") for the film.

The cinematography and editing of the movie has been handled by Balasubramaniam and Praveen KL, respectively. The upcoming Tamil movie is produced by Simbu's father, T Rajender. Andhrea Jeremiah plays the second female lead in "Idhu Namma Aalu," which also stars Soori, Arjunan, Jayaprakash, Uday Mahesh and Madhusudhan Rao.

The film was also in the news earlier because of the special number done by Adah Sharma, which had created a lot of controversy after Simbu and Pandiraj had differences of opinion over the item song. While the director and Nayanthara were reportedly not keen to have the track in the film, the actor wanted the number to be included. Finally, Simbu decided to go ahead with his idea and signed up Adah Sharma for the number.
