Harshika Poonacha has finally come out to clarify about her alleged controversial kissing video with Tamil actor Simbu. The video-footage, which was captured during the recently-held SIIMA (South Indian International Film Awards), has been doing rounds on the Internet for a while. The Kannada actress took to Twitter to open up on the issue.
In a series of Tweets, Harshika Poonacha said the video has been morphed and it is not she in the video. The actress claimed that it was a handy work of jobless people.
She posted, "Have been continuously ignoring the stupid comments on the alleged SIIMA kissing video, but it doesn't seem to stop. I hereby want to inform you all that it's not me in that alleged Superstar Simbu & Harshika Poonacha video."
She further tweeted, "Some jobless people hav morphed it along with a pic containing me & Simbu. I did watch the video a few days ago & realised it was morphed. Simbu @iam_str would not get down to that level. So these jobless people tryin to create cheap publicity please do somethin constructive!"
Harshika Poonacha concluded, "My family ,fans & wellwishers know that I could never be involved in such stupid stuff! So wat would I be even bothered about! Thanks to all those who called , msgd and supported me when that video went viral. Thanks again!"
A video clip involving two unidentified people hit the internet in September, soon after the SIIMA was concluded. It was said that the two people in the footage were Simbu and Harshika Poonacha and the clip was reportedly leaked from CCTV at a hotel in Malaysia.
It became easy for people to target Harshika Poonacha because prior to the leak she had posted a photo, which shows her and Simbu. Meanwhile, there are reports that the Tamil actor has sued the hotel for spreading such videos.
