The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2014 is all set to be celebrated at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It will be a two-day event and will be held on 12 and 13 September. The award ceremony is likely to be a grand affair, with the presence of celebrities from across different south film industries.

This will be the third year that the SIIMA Awards function will be held to honour talented people from the south film industry. Last year, the event was held in the UAE, and this year Malaysia fans will get to witness the grand affair.

"Malaysia has been associated with South Indian Film Industry since past few years and it's only going to further grow with the association of SIIMA this year. As SIIMA is going global it is promoting the South India Films and the artists globally so as the Malaysia tourism," Tony Nagamaiah, the General Manager, Malaysia Events, said in a statement.

Actors Shriya Saran and Rana Daggubati of "Arrambam" fame launched SIIMA in Hyderabad. Speaking at the event, Shriya said: "I have been associated with SIIMA for two long years now and it is indeed a pleasure to be a part of the third edition as well. SIIMA 2014 will be an exciting experience as I will be performing in Malaysia. SIIMA gives the South Indian Film fraternity an avenue to meet globally and celebrate successes over two days; it truly makes for a wonderful experience."

SIIMA has also announced the nominations for Tamil films under various categories. The nominees have been chosen by a panel of experts while the winners will be selected based on public voting.

Actors Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Vishal and Suriya will be competing for the Best Actor award.

Pooja, Parvathy, Nayanthara, Hansika and Trisha have been nominated for the Best Actress award.
