As Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for the release of her film 'Bluff', an old interview of her mother, Madhu Chopra has resurfaced. In the interview, mamma Chopra had spoken about how Priyanka's brother became a "collateral damage" in Priyanka Chopra's success story. The celebrity mom said that the whole family was focused on making PeeCee a big success and in doing so overlooked Sidharth.
Madhu Chopra had said in the interview that since their father, Ashok Chopra was working; the responsibility of taking Priyanka to places fell on Madhu Chopra. She added that in taking her daughter to shoots and events; she might have not been that invested in her younger son.
Collateral damage
"Siddharth was the collateral damage to all of Priyanka's success, because their dad (Dr Ashok Chopra) was working, I was with Priyanka, he just grew up on his own and he was a teenager at that time. He, I think, was collateral damage for me," she had said on the Something Bigger Show.
Siddharth struggling
"When I think about it, these are certain things that you had to deal with," she added. Madhu Chopra further said that her son struggles and that worries her. "I see him struggling everyday and I feel that, okay god has blessed you, so just count your blessings, one by one and it will surprise you what the lord has done. I count my blessings everyday. I have two great kids, who love me, care for me," she had said in the same interview.
Siddharth got married to lady love Neelam Upadhyay in 2014 and continues to manage production house along with mom and sister. On the other hand, Priyanka has shifted base to US where she lives with husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti Marie. Madhu Chopra continues to shuttle between India and US.
