Here's some good news for fans of Siddhant Karnick. The television heartthrob, who wooed the audience with his charm as Ranaji on period love drama "Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani," has got married. Siddhant tied the knot with his fiancée and actress Megha Gupta on Tuesday, Aug.16.
The couple got hitched in a low-key affair in the presence of their family members and friends. They opted for a court marriage as Megha lost her father just last month. However, Siddhant and Megha plan to host a big celebration sometime later.
"Yes, we opted to go with registered marriage as we wanted to keep it a low affair due to the sudden demise of Megha's dad. Celebrations will happen later on," Siddhant told India-Forums.
A few months ago, Siddhant and Megha, who was last seen on "Dream Girl," surprised their fans when news of them dating appeared online. While the fans of the "Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani" actor were still recovering from the sudden news, Siddhant got engaged to the actress on May 11 in a private affair.
The couple was apparently planning to get married in December 2016 or early next year, but decided to advance the wedding for reasons best known to them.
Megha was earlier married to Aditya Shroff. However, after the divorce, the actress was rumoured to be dating actor Naman Shaw.
The newly-weds have now joined the list of television couples who tied the knot this year. In January, Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal got married in Goa and hosted a grand reception for their friends and family members. "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya married her co-star Vivek Dahiya in a lavish affair in July in Bhopal. Recently, Sambhavna Seth also got hitched to her long time boyfriend Avinash Dwivedi.
