Mirzapur, which started streaming on Amazon Prime, can be considered one of the pathbreaking OTT shows in India. Those who have been ardent fans of the series are known to be too invested in the characters of the show. For the audience of the show, one of the most heartbreaking moments was Sweety Gupta's death. Sweety Gupta's character, which was played by Shriya Pilgaonkar, died at the end of the first season of the show. However, the actress has now teased her fans that she might return to Mirzapur, after being dead for eight long years. 

Shriya took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes moment from the sets of Mirzapur, announcing that she is "back from the dead." Does this mean she will be seen in the next season of the series? Well, that is not for sure, but what is for sure is that Mirzapur-The Film is in the making, and Shriya will most definitely be a part of that. 

The actress posted two pictures; the first snap was of a clapperboard with 'Mirzapur-The Film' written on it. The second picture was a picture of Shriya with the cast and crew of the film. Shriya captioned the post as, "8 years later ...guess who's back from the dead MIRZAPUR -THE FILM Currently filming Jald hi milenge."

Fans expressed their excitement in the comment section of the post, a netizen wrote, "I loved sweety... super excited to see her on the screen" while another wrote, "Wear bullet proof vest in marriage and go to @shriya.pilgaonkar or don't take Bablu brother please", refering to how she died in the first season of the series. Several Instagram users spotted Ravi Kishan in the cast and crew picture shared by Shriya and were thoroughly excited to know that the actor has joined the team. However, many mentioned why Vikrant Massey is not a part of the cast. Vikrant Massey's character Babblu too had died in the first season. 

Many netizens wondered in the comment section about how Shriya would be coming back to the series to which she clarified in the comment section, writing, "Don't be confused. It's a film. Not part 4."
