ShopClues started its Diwali sale online on Saturday by offering steep discounts on a wide range of products. The sale runs through October 10, which is longer than any of its rivals - Amazon, Snapdeal or Flipkart.

In order to get the most sales out of this festive season sale, ShopClues launched its "Lowest Price Online Challenge," where it plans to compete against the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale (October 2-6), Amazon Great Indian Festival (October 1-5) and Snapdeal Unbox Diwali Sale (October 2-6).

The online retailer is challenging its rivals with steep offers under "Dhamaka Deals," which is spread across a massive range of five crore products.

According to ShopClues, the Diwali sale will offer up to 80 per cent off on products in the electronics category and general utilities such as car accessories, travel and luggage, stationary and beauty products; more than three lakh home and kitchen products for Rs 499 and over 10 lakh fashion goods starting at just Rs 99.

In addition to that, ShopClues has partnered with ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered and American Express to offer additional 10 per cent discount for shoppers using these banks credit or debit cards. Customers also get no cost EMIs option on products offered through its CashCare Technology.

In a recent interview with IBTimes, India, ShopClues AVP marketing, Nitin Agarwal, said that the e-tailer is targeting 200 per cent growth from last year.

"Since our focus remains on tier 2, 3 and beyond consumers, we have introduced a range of products in consumer electronics, ethnic fashion and Home and Kitchen categories at unique price points for them, Agarwal told IBTimes.
