Shimla, June 29 (ANI): Police organised an anti-drug run wherein volunteers and locals wearing bright t-shirts and Red Ribbons wrist bands claiming a drug free lifestyle, ran on the streets of the hill town of Shimla on Sunday to spread awareness. Around 2,015 runners, including locals, tourists and policemen participated in the anti-drug run which was organised in two competitive categories- a half marathon of 21.5 kilometers and a mini marathon of 10 kilometers. The campaign, which is an annual feature in Himachal Pradesh, was initiated three years ago by the state police. Meanwhile, the Director General of Police (DGP), Sanjay Kumar, said that he was optimist that the drive would be a success.
