Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is one of the most loved personalities not only among Indians but also by world leaders. But did you know that even toddlers admire PM Modi and are fond of him?
Recently, during an interview, actor Suniel Shetty revealed that his 15-month-old granddaughter, Evaarah, has developed a daily ritual of greeting a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and offering him make-believe laddoos every morning.
Suniel Shetty says his 15-month-old granddaughter is fan of PM Narendra Modi
Speaking in a recent interview with Times Now, the 64-year-old actor said the habit began unexpectedly and insisted that no one in the family had encouraged the toddler to do so.
In a conversation with Times Now, Suniel said that his granddaughter was shown a poster of the PM by her nanny at the airport and since then she has been fascinated by him. The actor said, "I have always said I am a huge fan of him. I am not talking about a party; I am talking about a leader. If a leader excites me, he excites me. As much as I love my country, I love that man. There is something about him. My granddaughter is 15 months old. Once, at the airport, one of her nannies told her about Modi ji. Now, every morning, she opens a Sai Baba book which also has a photo of Modi ji."
He added, "She opens that photo and says, 'Modi ji'. Woh Ganapati ji ki murti se ladoo leke aati hai aur unko khilaati hai (She takes a ladoo from the Ganpati idol at home and offers it to the photograph). I did not ask her to do this, nor did her parents. There is something about him. There is something magical."
Athiya and Rahul welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on March 24, 2025. They named her "Evaarah", which means "gift of God".
"As much as I love my country, I love PM Modi. There is something about him. You won't believe, my granddaughter is 15 months old. Once, at the airport, one of her nannies told her about Modi ji. Now, every morning, she opens a Sai Baba book with a photo of PM Modi, goes to the Ganpati statue, takes a make-believe laddoo from there, and offers it to the photo. Nobody told her to do that. There is something about him. There is something magical," he said during the conversation.
He also recalled meeting PM Modi in Ahmedabad around 2010, saying the interaction left a lasting impression on him. The actor remembered being struck by the Prime Minister's punctuality, attentiveness, and the conversation they shared after the meeting, which he said remained memorable even years later.
The BJP also shared Shetty's interview clip.
"Actor Suniel Shetty shared this heartwarming incident about his 15-month-old granddaughter while praising PM Modi. Listen," the ruling party at the Centre wrote on X.
